Other places you can check are private auctions, garage sales or even museums. At these places you will also build connections with people.Often finding the right antique means knowing the right people.

Antique collecting is both a hobby and an investment.The types of antiques you can collect are practically endless but some items are more popular for collecting then others such as antique furniture tables. If you enjoy history and really enjoy something whether it be books, jewelry, or anything at all really then consider antique collecting as a hobby.
